RECONMATIC Open Day in Greece, Thessaloniki
As part of the “Open Days” initiative, the RECONMATIC project is organising its 5th open day, this time in Greece’s second-largest city, Thessaloniki. The event, titled “Smart Circular Economy Solutions: Recycling, Reuse & Digital Innovation,” will be held in Greek and co-organised with the Technical Chamber of Greece / Central Macedonia Department (TEE/TKM) under the auspices of the Department of Civil Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
The open day aims to inform professionals about existing practices, emerging trends, technologies, and applications that support the circular economy within the construction industry. The event will feature presentations from key stakeholders involved in managing and recycling Construction & Demolition Waste (C&DW), alongside insights from the research community and RECONMATIC project partners.
Participants will explore innovative solutions for promoting circular economy principles in the construction sector. Topics will focus on sustainable waste management, collaborative partnerships, and cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and 3D printing. Additionally, the event will highlight strategies for enhancing the recycling and reuse of materials in both building and infrastructure projects.
Date: Thursday, 6th of March 2025
Location: Technical Chamber of Greece / Section of Central Macedonia
This free event is open to anyone interested in circularity in construction, with no registration required.
